Family owned and operated since the 1930s -- gotta love tradition! Love the signature "Banana Bangers," and of course the catfish fritters! Kinder's doesn't use the same seasoned (Andy's) type of breading that most places use, allowing you to taste the delicious catfish more than the seasoning. Service can be slow sometimes due to short staff, but that can be found at any small-town place place. On and Sometimes in the Mississippi! At least you can sit on the deck, or near the windows inside, while you watch the flood rise =D

My son and I just waited 1hr (no exageration) for our burger and chicken strips. My fries came with an added ingredient, hair. (Way longer than mine). I grabbed the server, sent it back and cancelled my burger. He brought my bill with everything else still on it. You think they could have at least given me my iced tea.

This is a nice place to go to and enjoy the view while you have some of their appetizer. The food is only okay and nothing to really rave about and the service is not bad but the view is quite nice. On a nice summer day, you can sit on their patio by the bar side and it is a great place to have some drinks and enjoy the scenery. I have had their fried catfish which was too bland for me. I had to keep salting it to give it a little bit of flavor. It was too battered for my taste and the batter was not tasty at all. I do, however, love their clam chowder. I always try to get it with a salad. Overall, I give this place a 2-star because of the quality of food that they serve. Otherwise, the view is amazing and would give it a 3.5 based on the scenery alone.

Kinders Restaurant - "On the Mississippi or in it." My boyfriend, his parents, and I came out here over on the jet ski over Memorial Day weekend to chill out as we took turns with the ski. We parked the jet ski beside the dock that is provided and is no cost to the patrons. It is a pretty big dock, so it has ample room for your jet ski or boat. When my boyfriend went to go pick up his parents on the jet ski, I managed to get a really nice spot on their spacious outdoor patio overlooking the Mississippi. It was cool with ceiling fans going and relaxing. Over the course of about 3 hours we all alternated hanging out there. I ordered over the course of time 3 margaritas, salted, and over ice. they were strong and delicious! Jason ordered their nachos which he really enjoyed. The nachos were $3. They run a special everyday and the nachos were the special of the day for such a cheap price. His parents split a hamburger and had a few beers too. All the prices on the menu are cheap. Nothing is overpriced which we appreciated. I think the only bad thing I can say about the place is our server was a bit of a bitch... not gonna lie. She was really irritable and dry. I guess I can't really blame her too much since it was Saturday over the holiday weekend, but she made the experience a little bit of a let down hence why I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5. I fathom we will be making our way there again over the course of the summer when we go out on the Mississippi. Hopefully next time our server will be nicer.

Kinder's is AWESOME. We take the ferry across, and then sit on the deck at Kinder's and watch the ferry go back and forth, and the boats go by. They have hummingbird feeders on the deck, and there are always cute little hummingbirds flying around. The drinks are cheap and good, and they have tons of fried bar food (hey, it's a bar!). The walleye and catfish are really, really good - as are the onion rings. It's all really inexpensive, and the view can't be beat!

Anyone who has grown up on the river has been to Kinders at one time or another. It is one of the few establishments in the area you can easily drive your boat up to and park to get food. It is not the best food ever but it is not bad. The service is generally good as well. Prices are a little high but it is to be expected for the location. I really enjoy their wings and have not found anyone who has disliked their wings for that matter. If I didn't have a boat growing up or my Jet Ski now I don't know if I would come to Kinders on a regular basis but it is a nice place to go after a long day of being out on the water!

Excellent service, unique river-side setting, and fantastic scenery! My fried chicken was popping hot and made to order. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. For us, it requires a ferry ride to get there from O'Fallon, MO., but that's part of the fun too! I'm quite sure this is a seasonal restaurant not open during off-season.

NASTY! The worst Buffalo I have EVER had. The breading was BLAND. The food was super expensive for the crappy. Three us of ate for $36.00. The service was fine and the people were nice. But the was just plain bad. Don't patronize this place.
